Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Spare Hours collects, why, who processes it, and the rights you have. We keep it short and plain because we collect very little.

Who is responsible for your data

Spare Hours (“we”, “us”) runs the website at sparehoursplanner.com and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@sparehoursplanner.com.

What we collect

• Your email address — when you ask us to send your planner. This is the only personal data we store.

That’s it. In particular:

• Your quiz answers (the Time Audit: your hours, projects, days and times) are processed in your browser to build your planner. They are not sent to us and we do not store them.
• The optional “How did you hear about us?” answer is not stored on our systems.
• We do not ask for your name, and we do not collect payment details (the planner is free).

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your email address to:

• send you the planner you requested;
• send you the Spare Hours email list — two to three emails a month (a monthly reminder to plan, plus the occasional tip or read).

Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting your email to get the planner. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights” below). Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we sent before you withdrew.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) who handle data on our behalf:

• MailerLite — stores your email address and delivers our emails. See MailerLite’s privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Cloudflare — hosts the website and routes any replies you send us. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The email sign-up (MailerLite) and our host (Cloudflare) may set essential cookies needed to make the form and the site work securely. If you only browse and never submit the form, no marketing data is collected.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that it is removed from our active list.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, they are required to protect it with appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to:

• access the data we hold about you (your email);
• correct it if it’s wrong;
• delete it (“right to be forgotten”);
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive a copy in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

The quickest way to withdraw consent is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. For anything else, email hello@sparehoursplanner.com and we’ll take care of it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children

Spare Hours is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and change the “last updated” date above. For significant changes we’ll let subscribers know by email.
