Spare Hours

A month that fits your spare hours.

Spare Hours is a planner quiz for busy people: a personalized monthly planner generated from a 5-minute Time Audit. It maps where your day actually goes, calculates your real free hours, and builds a one-page month plan that fits inside them. Made for people who can never find time for their own goals.

How much free time do you actually have?

Nobody wastes their life on purpose. Time disappears quietly — into chores, family logistics, the commute, and "just five minutes" of scrolling. And free time that isn't reserved for anything simply drains away into whatever is nearest. That's not a discipline problem. It's a visibility problem. If you can never find time for hobbies or your own goals, the hours usually exist — they're just unmapped.

People typically estimate they have 5–6 free hours a day. A Time Audit — a simple 24-hour audit — usually finds 1.5–2.5. The gap is why monthly plans fail: they're built for hours that were never really there.

How Spare Hours works

  1. Name your projects. Up to three projects or monthly goals — learning to cook, getting ready for a driving test, running every day.
  2. Break each into four weekly steps. A month-goal is just four week-goals in a trench coat.
  3. Run your Time Audit. Sleep, work, chores, family, rest, scrolling — the audit counts them and finds your real free hours.
  4. Reserve your hours. Give each project its days and time windows — every day, chosen days, or a shift-work schedule that changes weekly. The plan is checked against your real free hours as you build it.
  5. Pick your style, get your planner. Choose a color theme and format (printable PDF or editable Word), and your one-page month arrives by email.

What you get: your month on one page

All four weeks visible at once. Each project's weekly step appears on the days you reserved, with its time window, place, and a checkbox. If a week asks for more time than you have, the planner marks it — so you shrink the plan, not your confidence.

Frequently asked questions

What is Spare Hours?
A personalized monthly planner generated from a 5-minute online time audit. It maps where your day goes, calculates your real free hours, and builds a one-page month plan that fits them.
What is a Time Audit?
A Time Audit maps everything that quietly takes time in an average day — sleep, work, chores, family, rest, scrolling — and shows what's actually left. Most people guess 5–6 free hours; the audit typically finds 1.5–2.5. Spare Hours plans only inside those real hours.
How is it personalized?
Everything comes from your answers: your free hours, up to three projects with monthly goals, four weekly steps each, the days and time windows you reserve (shift-work schedules supported), optional locations, and your color style.
What format do I get?
A printable one-page PDF or an editable Word document (.doc), in your chosen theme, sent to your email.
How much does it cost?
The quiz is free. One planner costs $12 (launch price) and comes with the "How to Run Your Month" mini-guide. Credit packs make repeat months cheaper — one credit = one personalized planner.
What if my plan doesn't fit?
The quiz checks every week of your plan against your real free hours while you build it and shows exactly which project pushes a week over the limit — so you fix the plan before the month starts.
Is this a free time calculator?
Yes — the first half of the quiz is a free time calculator: you enter where an average day goes, and it calculates your real free hours per day, week and month. Both the calculator and the personalized planner built from it are free during launch.
Does it work with a busy or shift-work schedule?
Yes. You can reserve different days and different hours for every week of the month, so rotating shifts and irregular weeks fit naturally — this is a planner for busy people, not for perfect calendars.
